Şubat ayının ortasında çıkış yapan ve oyun severlerin ilgisini kazanan Türk yapımı Erzurum oyunu, tartışma konusu haline geldi. Çıkışının üzerinden iki hafta geçen oyun, ünlü Twitch yayıncılarının fikir ayrılıklarıyla birlikte oyun severleri ikiye böldü.

Bir hayatta kalma oyunu olan Erzurum, adından da anlaşılabildiği gibi Erzurum’un soğuk şartlarında hayatta kalmaya çalışan bir karakteri bize oynatıyor. Oyunun yapımcısı Proximity Games, oyun çıkmadan iki hafta önce yayıncılara erken erişim kodu göndermişti. Yayıncılar, fragmanıyla ilgi toplayan bu oyunu deneyimleyip görüşlerini sunmuştu.

Jahrein adını kullanan Ahmet Sonuç canlı yayında oyunu deneyimledikten sonra iade etti. Oyunu beğenmeyip canlı yayında iade etmesi kimi oyuncular tarafından saygısızlık, kimisi tarafında da normal olarak karşılandı. Bu tartışmalara PintiPanda adını kullanan Tuna Akşen de dahil olunca tartışma daha da alevlendi.

Jahrein’in oyunu denedikten sonra iade etmesinin ardından oyunun yapımcısı Steam üzerinde şu yorumu paylaştı:

Oyuncuların bir kısmı Erzurum’un bir diğer hayatta kalma oyunu olan The Long Dark’tan kopyalandığını savunuyor. Başka bir kısmı ise oyuna karşı ön yargı ile yaklaşıldığını, yayıncıların yaptığı yorumların ön yargıdan ibaret olduğunu savunuyor. Bu fikir ayrılığı başta Twitter ve Reddit olmak üzere sosyal medyada tartışma yarattı.
